本計畫以「數位化工作流程圖文說明」為基礎，以單一數位化物件或工作方式來統合不同典藏單位的數位化經驗，比較與綜合過去各計畫對同類物件進行數位化的工作流程，輔以國內外數位化相關技術的理論及實務，撰成[1] 「精選物件」與[2] 「共通概念」兩類數位化工作流程指南，以期給讀者更為完整的工作流程介紹，提供更富前瞻性與實用性的參考依據，能夠更有效地選擇最合適的數位化方案。
