Digital Archiving – Quality Control and Quality Assurance
In order to increase the quality and quantity of digital archiving, the National Digital Archives Program Content Development Division introduced standard operating procedure (SOP) work models and through investigating and analyzing each divisions’ work processes and technology, developed standard work processes, work rules and technical standards. In addition, there is the publication of work process handbooks and the making of work process documentaries, which can be used as the basis of educative training. The holding of conferences for each type of technology and process provides an environment for dialogue exchange and quality improvement for the units involved in content creation. Through our efforts, the digital archives’ contents will be presented to you in the best form possible.
Main Tasks:
- Manage the situation involving the digitization of archived cultural relics and information by each important unit in the country.
- Collect and analyze internet resources created by other similar digital archiving project groups, both domestically and internationally.
- Investigate and set the working process, work rules and technical standards used in creating information.
- Establish an assembly, division and coordination mechanism and assist each unit to successfully commence its plan to create digital archives.
- Cultivate international cooperation and assist each unit to become a member of the international digitization-work community.
- Publish ‘Digital Archives Collection – Digitization Work Process: Pictorial and Text Explanations’.
- Organize ‘Digitization Work Process: Discussion and Training Conferences’.
